The folks there are way friendlier than at other bodegas around here. I’ll actually travel to get my wraps from this place, they are delicious.

It’s my go-to Deli. So many food options, so many sandwich combinations. I love the chicken chipotle hero from the avocado section. The people there are really nice. Hamza — a really good man I’m happy to call a friend — runs that store to a T. Everything on point.

This is the bodega in my building and thus, MY bodega. I am fiercely loyal (except if I need lottery tickets). They are open 24/7, have GREAT food and great staff — and of course a bodega cat (Timmy) that my 50 pound dog is terrified of.

Hamza Nagi, in business with his cousin Wally Alkandi, are Yemeni Americans re-defining the NY deli/bodega. Watching them grow-up behind the counter at our corner deli and mature as successful entrepreneurs who embody special vision, commitment and generosity of spirit has been one of my all-time favorite NYC/Hell’s Kitchen stories.
