VERS

I’ve made VERS Bar a pseudo second home base for this campaign, bringing the community together first for a Summer House Watch Party with my wife, Darya, and Jackie Cox, then for the LGBTQ+ for Bores canvassing launch earlier this month. There’s something special about a space where you can have a serious conversation about what’s at stake in this election and then turn around and cheer at reality TV together.

I don’t find myself in bars too often (I’m such a morning person!), but Vers is definitely one of my more frequent nightlife haunts. I have many fond memories of grabbing drinks with friends here before seeing a Broadway show. I recently attended their monthly musical theatre trivia night and had a great time. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable and was very much challenged.

The age-old question of where should we meet is almost always answered with VERS. From their excellent happy hour, their yummy snacks, to their late night vibes, sexy underwear party and great cabaret and drag shows. This place is upscale enough to come for a pre-show drink, but fun enough to get rowdy with your friends. Perfect spot so close by!

It’s centrally located and a cocktail bar, with a daily happy hour of good drinks. Essentially, it’s a meeting spot for my friends. I usually organize via text chains to meet up.

Hell’s Kitchen has some of Manhattan’s most popular Gay/Queer Bars, and VERS is one of my favorites. It’s owned by queer people and has a great staff that I like supporting (it’s SO IMPORTANT to know where your money is going…) AND it’s always a good time. There’s a drag show most nights, piano bar, TV viewings, DJ sets and one of HK’s best food and drink Happy Hours.

I’m so thrilled this place opened and provides a new space for great performers to shine in HK. David and Aidan always throw great events and the craft cocktails are delicious!

Great actual cocktails, decor, lighting, and drag shows at this newer addition to the gay bar scene in HK. The owner David is so nice and welcoming to all.

A newer spot in Hell’s Kitchen — Vers has great cocktails, cute boys and fun entertainment. It’s also one of the best late night cocktail bars in the area.
