Holy Cross Church

I also find solace by attending mass and services at Holy Cross Church and Times Square Church. We need rejuvenation of spirit, body and mind in our great city. I am grateful to be able to recharge my spiritual battery in these special places.

My friend Charlie Curren was the music director there for many years and Father Peter was the neighborhood’s spiritual rock. When I walk in there it seems like I’m going back to the Hell’s Kitchen of the old black and white movies!

When I walk into the church and see the candles flickering, it gives me comfort and I feel hope. I also feel my mother's presence. She died from Alzheimer's some years ago. Holy Cross is my refuge.
